At Lawson House Private Nursing a wide variety of engagement activities are run through our social club daily from Monday through Sunday. The extensive variety of activities is catered to suit a variety of preferences and we welcome all feedback and suggestions to improving our activities suite.
We have two dedicated activities co-ordinators on our staff, hosting a multitude of engagement activities for our residents such as:
Regular outings for our residents to local places of interest.
Our music group listen to different genres of music and discuss our thoughts on its merit and likeability.
From the latest blockbusters to timeless classics, our in house cinema room sees our residents watch and discuss movies of interest.
Still life painting, to pencil drawing and art in other mediums. Our Arts & Crafts sessions are always a creative and exciting environment.
Memory therapy sessions where we exercise our memory muscles through different exercises using photographs, games and visits from local residents with stories about the area and it’s past.
Computer classes where residents can learn to search the web, send email to their loved ones and Google topics that peak their interest.
We provide a pet therapy session where our local St Bernard comes down for a game of catch and some serious belly rubs.
